Last Saturday (May 3) we had our first rehearsal for the concert on May 31 – Symphonic Masterworks.  It was a promising start to what looks like it will be an exciting concert.  Jason George (Principal Timpani) posted this picture on his Facebook page with the following comment:

“First rehearsal of the new Launceston Philharmonic Orchestra. Yes, I have no music.
Lucky for me, we’re playing Finlandia & I can remember the part from when I was about 13!“

It’s great to see trombone and tuba players are the same the world over!  They must be talking mouthpiece 😉
